Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 0.47% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which rose 2.68% or 1,720.00 points to trade at 66,000.00 at the close. Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) added 1.49% or 260.00 points to end at 17,740.00 and Banco De Bogota SA (BVC:BBO) was up 0.79% or 220.00 points to 28,100.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which lost 2.83% or 800.00 points to trade at 27,500.00 in late trade. Corporacion Financiera Colombiana (BVC:CFV_p) declined 2.46% or 280.00 points to end at 11,120.00 and Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p) shed 1.46% or 300.00 points to 20,300.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 1.27% or 3.37 to $261.13 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 2.32% or 177.00 to hit $7,797.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract fell 0.29% or 7.60 to trade at $2,584.80 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was unchanged 0.00% to 4,187.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.01% to 766.85.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.06% at 100.63.
