Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.44% to hit a new 1-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA Preferred (BVC:SIS_p), which rose 1.03% or 240.00 points to trade at 23,500.00 at the close. Grupo Bolivar SA (BVC:SCA) added 0.81% or 480.00 points to end at 59,980.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) was up 0.71% or 3.00 points to 428.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Nutresa SA (BVC:NCH), which lost 3.27% or 1,600.00 points to trade at 47,400.00 in late trade. Mineros SA (BVC:MAS) declined 2.15% or 75.00 points to end at 3,415.00 and Bancolombia Pf (BVC:BIC_p1) shed 0.88% or 300.00 points to 33,700.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.67% or 4.05 to $239.00 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.08% or 91.00 to hit $8,307.00 , while the August Gold Futures contract rose 0.67% or 16.00 to trade at $2,410.70 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.03% to 4,015.03, while BRL/COP rose 0.32% to 718.32.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 104.17.
