Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Public Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 0.29%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Grupo de Inversiones Suramericana SA (BVC:SIS), which rose 4.18% or 1,300.00 points to trade at 32,400.00 at the close. Cementos Argos Pf (BVC:CCB_p) added 3.66% or 270.00 points to end at 7,650.00 and Grupo Aval Acciones y Valores SA Pref (BVC:GAA_p) was up 2.41% or 10.00 points to 425.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Canacol Energy Ltd (BVC:CNE), which lost 2.95% or 380.00 points to trade at 12,500.00 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (BVC:ARG) declined 1.89% or 320.00 points to end at 16,580.00 and Organizacion Terpel SA (BVC:TPL) shed 1.69% or 150.00 points to 8,750.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 0 to 0 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 0.94% or 2.15 to $227.05 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 6.40% or 517.50 to hit $7,574.50 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.72% or 17.90 to trade at $2,490.90 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.00% to 4,085.45, while BRL/COP fell 1.00% to 710.07.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.26% at 104.13.
