Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Financials and Investment sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 2.01%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which rose 10.06% or 350.0 points to trade at 3830.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 3.03% or 1000.0 points to end at 34000.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was up 2.50% or 760.0 points to 31220.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Conconcret (CN:CIC), which lost 5.01% or 19.0 points to trade at 360.0 in late trade. Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH) declined 3.45% or 200.0 points to end at 5600.0 and Etb (CN:ETB) shed 2.85% or 10.0 points to 341.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 12 to 11 and 5 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 2.07% or 2.08 to $102.38 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.75% or 40.00 to hit $2328.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.77% or 9.30 to trade at $1211.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.87% to 3052.25, while BRL/COP fell 0.78% to 735.45.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.25% at 94.81.
