Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Financials, Public Services and Services sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP rose 0.06%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Cementos Argos Pf (CN:CCB_p), which rose 3.04% or 280.0 points to trade at 9480.0 at the close. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) added 2.45% or 900.0 points to end at 37660.0 and Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p) was up 1.76% or 520.0 points to 30040.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO), which lost 3.30% or 60.0 points to trade at 1760.0 in late trade. Grupo Argos SA (CN:ARG) declined 2.05% or 420.0 points to end at 20060.0 and Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) shed 1.71% or 45.0 points to 2590.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 14 to 12 and 3 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was up 0.69% or 0.86 to $125.58 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December rose 1.51% or 33.00 to hit $2214.00 , while the December Gold Futures contract rose 0.51% or 6.57 to trade at $1282.37 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.68% to 3015.70, while BRL/COP fell 0.17% to 926.54.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.05% at 94.76.
