Investing.com – China equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Mobile and Software & Computer Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite fell 0.70%, while the SZSE Component index fell 1.10%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Aerosun Corp (SS:600501), which rose 10.07% or 0.710 points to trade at 7.760 at the close. Hainan Haiqi Transportation Group Co Ltd (SS:603069) added 10.04% or 0.720 points to end at 7.890 and DELIXI XINJIANG Transportation Co Ltd (SS:603032) was up 10.02% or 1.30 points to 14.27 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Gangtai Holdin (SS:600687), which lost 10.05% or 0.740 points to trade at 6.620 in late trade. Shanghai Jahwa United Co Ltd (SS:600315) declined 9.99% or 3.390 points to end at 30.540 and Shangying Global Co Ltd (SS:600146) shed 9.98% or 1.31 points to 11.81.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Tonghua Golden-Horse Pharmaceutical Industry Co Ltd (SZ:000766) which rose 10.02% to 7.25, Shenzhen Shenxin Taifeng Group Co Ltd (SZ:000034) which was up 9.98% to settle at 13.55 and Baoan Hongji Real Estate Group Co Ltd (SZ:000040) which gained 4.51% to close at 10.66.
The worst performers were Yinyi Real Estate Co Ltd (SZ:000981) which was down 10.06% to 5.63 in late trade, Shenwu Environmental Tech (SZ:300156) which lost 10.01% to settle at 6.74 and China Greatwall Computer Shenzhen Co Ltd (SZ:000066) which was down 9.40% to 6.84 at the close.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 1110 to 277 and 54 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was unchanged 0.00% to 21.37.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.05% or 0.60 to $1200.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.67% or 0.44 to hit $66.28 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.70% or 0.51 to trade at $73.14 a barrel.
USD/CNY was down 0.06% to 6.8436, while EUR/CNY fell 0.09% to 7.9165.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.04% at 95.17.
