Investing.com – China equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Life Insurance, Real Estate Investments & Services and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Shanghai, the Shanghai Composite gained 0.80%, while the SZSE Component index gained 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Shanghai Composite were Kunshan Kersen Science & Technology Co Ltd (SS:603626), which rose 10.03% or 1.70 points to trade at 18.65 at the close. Qingdao Tianhua Institute Chemistry Engineering Co Ltd (SS:600579) added 10.03% or 0.92 points to end at 10.09 and Suzhou Xingye Materials Technology Co Ltd (SS:603928) was up 10.02% or 1.610 points to 17.680 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Aurora Optoelectronics Co Ltd (SS:600666), which lost 10.01% or 1.410 points to trade at 12.680 in late trade. Jiangsu Lugang Culture Co Ltd (SS:601599) declined 9.92% or 0.64 points to end at 5.81 and JDM JingDa Machine Ningbo Co Ltd (SS:603088) shed 6.07% or 1.81 points to 28.00.
The top performers on the SZSE Component were Lens Technology Co Ltd (SZ:300433) which rose 10.02% to 23.16, Shijiazhuang Changshan Textile Co Ltd (SZ:000158) which was up 10.01% to settle at 8.46 and Dongguan Souyute Fashion Co Ltd (SZ:002503) which gained 7.23% to close at 4.45.
The worst performers were Cefc Anhui International Holding Co Ltd (SZ:002018) which was down 5.07% to 3.37 in late trade, Chongqing Zhifei Bio Products (SZ:300122) which lost 4.27% to settle at 43.08 and Sichuan Kelun Pharmaceutical Co Ltd (SZ:002422) which was down 3.60% to 34.50 at the close.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 953 to 327 and 83 ended unchanged on the Shanghai Stock Exchange.
The CBOE China Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Shanghai Composite options, was up 1.57% to 22.70.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.03% or 0.40 to $1313.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 1.03% or 0.73 to hit $70.00 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract fell 0.88% or 0.67 to trade at $75.50 a barrel.
USD/CNY was up 0.02% to 6.3678, while EUR/CNY fell 0.11% to 7.5827.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.12% at 92.72.
