Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Consumption, Real Estate and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa added 1.74%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were 3R Petroleum Oleo E Gas Sa (BVMF:BRAV3), which rose 7.44% or 1.34 points to trade at 19.34 at the close. Raizen SA Preferred (BVMF:RAIZ4) added 7.00% or 0.17 points to end at 2.60 and Cosan SA Industria e Comercio (BVMF:CSAN3) was up 6.10% or 0.64 points to 11.13 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3), which lost 0.65% or 0.04 points to trade at 6.10 in late trade. Totvs SA (BVMF:TOTS3) declined 0.33% or 0.10 points to end at 29.82 and Suzano Papel e Celulose SA (BVMF:SUZB3) shed 0.15% or 0.09 points to 60.70.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 704 to 271 and 53 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 14.13% to 30.64.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.36% or 36.40 to $2,711.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.67% or 1.17 to hit $71.27 a barrel, while the March US coffee C contract rose 2.44% or 7.22 to trade at $302.92 .
USD/BRL was down 0.23% to 5.80, while EUR/BRL fell 0.78% to 6.04.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.49% at 107.46.
