Investing.com – Brazil equities were higher at the close on Wednesday, as gains in the Industrials, Consumption and Real Estate sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Sao Paulo, the Bovespa rose 0.54%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Bovespa were Embraer SA (BVMF:EMBR3), which rose 6.74% or 3.08 points to trade at 48.77 at the close. Azul SA Pref (BVMF:AZUL4) added 3.91% or 0.23 points to end at 6.11 and Grupo Vamos SA (BVMF:VAMO3) was up 3.88% or 0.22 points to 5.89 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lwsa SA (BVMF:LWSA3), which lost 2.25% or 0.10 points to trade at 4.35 in late trade. IRB Brasil Resseguros SA (BVMF:IRBR3) declined 1.66% or 0.73 points to end at 43.27 and Azzas 2154 SA (BVMF:AZZA3) shed 1.59% or 0.67 points to 41.36.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 543 to 392 and 62 ended unchanged on the B3 Stock Exchange.
The CBOE Brazil Etf Volatility, which measures the implied volatility of Bovespa options, was down 12.48% to 30.87.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.41% or 11.00 to $2,689.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.04% or 0.03 to hit $70.61 a barrel, while the December US coffee C contract rose 0.17% or 0.43 to trade at $257.13 .
USD/BRL was up 0.25% to 5.66, while EUR/BRL fell 0.18% to 6.15.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.29% at 103.36.
