Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Telecoms, Industrials and Healthcare sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Aperam SA (AS:APAM), which rose 3.68% or 1.00 points to trade at 28.14 at the close. Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB) added 1.62% or 0.56 points to end at 35.20 and Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) was up 1.44% or 6.90 points to 485.60 in late trade.
Biggest losers included D’Ieteren NV (EBR:IETB), which lost 3.56% or 7.00 points to trade at 189.90 in late trade. Aedifica (EBR:AOO) declined 2.40% or 1.55 points to end at 62.90 and Umicore SA (EBR:UMI) shed 2.35% or 0.28 points to 11.66.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 64 to 34 and 12 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.46% or 12.35 to $2,655.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.00% or 0.68 to hit $68.86 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.99% or 0.71 to trade at $72.25 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.17% to 1.11, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.34% to 0.83.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.25% at 100.36.
