Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Consumer Goods, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 declined 0.34%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Engie SA (PA:ENGIE), which rose 1.07% or 0.14 points to trade at 12.77 at the close. Aperam SA (AS:APAM) added 0.13% or 0.05 points to end at 39.68 and KBC (BR:KBC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.000 points to 64.080 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Telenet Group (BR:TNET), which lost 8.74% or 4.12 points to trade at 43.00 in late trade. Argen-X (BR:ARGX) declined 1.67% or 1.10 points to end at 64.90 and bpost NV (BR:BPOST) shed 1.64% or 0.23 points to 13.80.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 66 to 42 and 21 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.43% or 17.10 to $1208.80 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $75.22 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $84.98 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.17% to 1.1558, while EUR/GBP rose 0.25% to 0.8900.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.13% at 95.04.
