Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Telecoms, Healthcare and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.05%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Anheuser Busch Inbev SA NV (BR:ABI), which rose 1.26% or 1.03 points to trade at 83.07 at the close. Sofina (BR:SOF) added 0.41% or 0.60 points to end at 148.20 and Ageas (BR:AGES) was up 0.41% or 0.180 points to 44.150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galapagos NV (AS:GLPG), which lost 1.20% or 1.040 points to trade at 85.920 in late trade. bpost NV (BR:BPOST) declined 1.02% or 0.15 points to end at 14.52 and Proximus NV (BR:PROX) shed 0.97% or 0.22 points to 22.46.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 66 to 55 and 20 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.15% or 2.00 to $1301.20 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 0.51% or 0.34 to hit $66.44 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.10% or 0.08 to trade at $76.38 a barrel.
EUR/USD was down 0.02% to 1.1782, while EUR/GBP fell 0.32% to 0.8781.
The US Dollar Index Futures was unchanged 0.00% at 93.56.
