Investing.com – Belgium equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Telecoms, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Brussels, the BEL 20 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BEL 20 were Solvay SA (EBR:SOLB), which rose 1.62% or 0.59 points to trade at 36.96 at the close. Argen-X (EBR:ARGX) added 1.42% or 6.70 points to end at 480.00 and Ageas (EBR:AGES) was up 0.86% or 0.42 points to 49.12 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Sofina (EBR:SOF), which lost 1.81% or 4.40 points to trade at 238.40 in late trade. Cofinimmo SA (EBR:COFB) declined 1.17% or 0.75 points to end at 63.15 and Aperam SA (AS:APAM) shed 1.13% or 0.30 points to 26.30.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 57 to 36 and 11 ended unchanged on the Brussels Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.67% or 17.55 to $2,643.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 3.09% or 2.26 to hit $75.50 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 3.12% or 2.39 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
EUR/USD was unchanged 0.11% to 1.09, while EUR/GBP unchanged 0.01% to 0.84.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.02% at 102.71.
