Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Investment and Financials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP declined 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p), which rose 1.18% or 30.0 points to trade at 2580.0 at the close. Empresa De Energia De Bogota (CN:EEB) added 0.26% or 5.0 points to end at 1915.0 and Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC) was unchanged 0.00% or 0.0 points to 18.7 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Interconexion Electrica SA (CN:ISA), which lost 4.11% or 420.0 points to trade at 9800.0 in late trade. Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) declined 2.27% or 220.0 points to end at 9460.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 2.14% or 30.0 points to 1370.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 3 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for December delivery was down 2.07% or 3.20 to $151.57 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in December fell 3.61% or 103.00 to hit $2753.00 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.68% or 9.10 to trade at $1332.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 2.77% to 2920.00, while BRL/COP rose 0.86% to 891.58.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.34% at 95.36.
