Investing.com – Sweden equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Oil & Gas, Technology and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 added 0.34% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa), which rose 4.73% or 1.50 points to trade at 33.24 at the close. Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE) added 4.55% or 5.60 points to end at 128.70 and Alfa Laval AB (ST:ALFA) was up 2.25% or 3.4 points to 154.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included TeliaSonera AB (ST:TLSN), which lost 1.41% or 0.62 points to trade at 43.20 in late trade. Swedbank AB ser A (ST:SWEDa) declined 0.51% or 1.0 points to end at 194.3 and Svenska Handelsbanken ser. A (ST:SHBa) shed 0.43% or 0.5 points to 116.1.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 321 to 239 and 4 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was up 2.80% or 1.29 to $47.43 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December rose 2.37% or 1.16 to hit $49.95 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 1.46% or 16.60 to trade at $1119.30 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was down 0.37% to 9.3613, while USD/SEK rose 0.27% to 8.5525.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.45% at 97.44.
