Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Industrials, Public Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP fell 1.90% to hit a new 3-month low.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO), which rose 1.23% or 740.0 points to trade at 60760.0 at the close. Bcolombia (CN:BIC) added 0.92% or 240.0 points to end at 26260.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) was down 0.14% or 40.0 points to 27620.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Almacenes Exito SA (CN:IMI), which lost 12.68% or 2700.0 points to trade at 18600.0 in late trade. Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU) declined 4.09% or 320.0 points to end at 7500.0 and Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) shed 3.42% or 55.0 points to 1555.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 23 to 3 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for September delivery was down 1.47% or 1.85 to $123.88 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 1.11% or 35.50 to hit $3166.50 , while the December Gold contract fell 0.87% or 9.50 to trade at $1085.60 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.19% to 2885.50, while BRL/COP fell 0.71% to 835.19.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 97.59.
