Investing.com – Colombia equities were higher at the close on Friday, as gains in the Investment, Financials and Industrials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP added 1.10% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Pacific Rubiales Energy Corp (CN:PRU), which rose 3.87% or 290.0 points to trade at 7790.0 at the close. Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) added 3.19% or 1100.0 points to end at 35600.0 and Celsia SA (CN:CEL) was up 1.68% or 80.0 points to 4840.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bolsa De Valores De Colombia (CN:BVC), which lost 1.50% or 0.3 points to trade at 20.0 in late trade. Banco De Bogota SA (CN:BBO) declined 1.37% or 820.0 points to end at 59000.0 and Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE) shed 1.74% or 130.0 points to 7350.0.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 19 to 7 and 1 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was up 0.14% or 0.20 to $141.78 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in July rose 2.66% or 74.50 to hit $2873.00 , while the June Gold contract fell 1.36% or 16.20 to trade at $1178.10 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.28% to 2452.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.37% to 830.79.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.31% at 97.14.
