Investing.com – Morocco equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Mining, Utilities and Chemicals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Casablanca, the Moroccan All Shares fell 0.24%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the Moroccan All Shares were IB Maroc Com SA (CS:IBC), which rose 2.99% or 3.35 points to trade at 115.25 at the close. Cartier Saada (CS:CRS) added 2.85% or 0.55 points to end at 19.85 and Colorado (CS:COL) was up 2.78% or 1.40 points to 51.70 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Promopharm S.A. (CS:PRO), which lost 9.04% or 112 points to trade at 1127 in late trade. Afriquia Gaz (CS:AGAZ1) declined 4.51% or 101 points to end at 2139 and Stroc Industrie (CS:STR) shed 4.41% or 2.17 points to 47.01.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 18 to 12 and 10 ended unchanged on the Casablanca Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for October delivery was up 2.31% or 1.02 to $45.17 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in November rose 1.56% or 0.73 to hit $47.56 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.18% or 2.35 to trade at $1330.45 a troy ounce.
EUR/MAD was up 0.06% to 10.8920, while USD/MAD rose 0.12% to 9.7681.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.14% at 95.74.
