Investing.com – Finland equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Healthcare, Industrials and Utilities sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Helsinki, the OMX Helsinki 25 fell 1.15%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Helsinki 25 were UPM-Kymmene Oyj (HE:UPM1V), which rose 6.36% or 0.96 points to trade at 16.05 at the close. Stora Enso Oyj R (HE:STERV) added 1.27% or 0.095 points to end at 7.575 and Outokumpu Oyj (HE:OUT1V) was up 0.90% or 0.0200 points to 2.2480 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Orion Oyj B (HE:ORNBV), which lost 5.73% or 1.79 points to trade at 29.43 in late trade. Valmt (HE:VALMT) declined 5.30% or 0.48 points to end at 8.58 and YIT Oyj (HE:YTY1V) shed 4.36% or 0.21 points to 4.65.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 120 to 60 and 3 ended unchanged on the Helsinki Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for April delivery was down 3.30% or 1.13 to $33.11 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in March fell 4.21% or 1.33 to hit $30.29 a barrel, while the April Gold contract fell 0.40% or 4.50 to trade at $1123.50 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was up 0.15% to 1.0904, while EUR/GBP rose 0.44% to 0.7578.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.05% at 99.00.
