Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Financials, Investment and Services sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Canacol Energy Ltd (CN:CNE), which rose 5.17% or 400.0 points to trade at 8140.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 3.50% or 45.0 points to end at 1330.0 and Isagen SA (CN:ISG) was up 1.50% or 60.0 points to 4060.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Bcolombia (CN:BIC), which lost 2.51% or 620.0 points to trade at 24060.0 in late trade. Pfgrupsura (CN:SIS_p) declined 2.30% or 860.0 points to end at 36520.0 and Bancolombia Pf (CN:BIC_p1) shed 2.16% or 560.0 points to 25340.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 8 and 4 ended unchanged on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for May delivery was up 2.82% or 3.54 to $129.12 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in May fell 0.83% or 25.50 to hit $3029.00 , while the April Gold contract rose 2.54% or 31.30 to trade at $1262.30 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was down 0.28% to 3157.50, while BRL/COP rose 0.45% to 843.98.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.97% at 95.72.
