Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Insurance, Financials and Banking sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 declined 0.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Nice Ltd (TA:NICE), which rose 6.23% or 1540 points to trade at 26240 at the close. Elbit Systems (TA:ESLT) added 0.89% or 340 points to end at 38380 and Melisron (TA:MLSR) was up 0.75% or 120 points to 16220 in late trade.
Biggest losers included ICL Israel Chemicals Ltd (TA:ICL), which lost 3.55% or 57 points to trade at 1547 in late trade. Israel Corp (TA:ILCO) declined 3.40% or 2290 points to end at 65130 and Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) shed 2.21% or 1790 points to 79300.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 171 to 149 and 117 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was down 1.41% or 0.59 to $41.33 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October fell 1.00% or 0.44 to hit $43.47 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.69% or 9.15 to trade at $1343.65 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was down 0.20% to 3.8272, while EUR/ILS rose 0.01% to 4.2417.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 96.62.
