Investing.com – Philippines equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Services, Banking & Financials and Property sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Philippines, the PSEi Composite lost 1.13%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSEi Composite were Universal Robina Corp (PS:URC), which rose 1.15% or 2.100 points to trade at 184.900 at the close. Energy Development Corp (PS:EDC) added 0.68% or 0.040 points to end at 5.940 and Ayala Corp (PS:AC) was up 0.59% or 5.000 points to 855.000 in late trade.
Biggest losers included LT Group Inc (PS:LTG), which lost 4.47% or 0.680 points to trade at 14.520 in late trade. Alliance Global Group Inc (PS:AGI) declined 3.95% or 0.600 points to end at 14.600 and Security Bank Corp (PS:SECB) shed 3.69% or 8.20 points to 214.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 136 to 55 and 39 ended unchanged on the Philippines Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for December delivery was up 0.07% or 0.95 to $1274.55 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 1.30% or 0.65 to hit $49.31 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract fell 1.22% or 0.62 to trade at $50.17 a barrel.
CNY/PHP was up 0.18% to 7.1405, while USD/PHP rose 0.04% to 48.345.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.13% at 98.56.
