Investing.com – Portugal equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Industrials, Telecoms and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Lisbon, the PSI 20 fell 0.22%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the PSI 20 were Banco Comercial Portugues (LS:BCP), which rose 0.56% or 0.0001 points to trade at 0.0179 at the close. Pharol SGPS SA (LS:PHRA) added 0.40% or 0.0010 points to end at 0.2520 and Sonae (LS:YSO) was up 0.28% or 0.0020 points to 0.7150 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Altri SGPS (LS:ALSS), which lost 1.82% or 0.0590 points to trade at 3.1860 in late trade. Mota Engil (LS:MOTA) declined 1.23% or 0.0220 points to end at 1.7700 and The Navigator Company SA (LS:NVGR) shed 0.64% or 0.0170 points to 2.6330.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 31 to 11 and 8 ended unchanged on the Lisbon Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Brent oil for December delivery was up 0.66% or 0.34 to $51.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December rose 0.28% or 0.14 to hit $50.77 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.12% or 1.55 to trade at $1265.95 a troy ounce.
EUR/USD was down 0.52% to 1.0871, while EUR/GBP fell 0.40% to 0.8883.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.42% at 98.70.
