Investing.com – Colombia equities were lower at the close on Wednesday, as losses in the Public Services, Services and Investment sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Colombia, the COLCAP lost 0.27%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the COLCAP were Banco Davivienda Pf (CN:DVI_p), which rose 1.80% or 460.0 points to trade at 25980.0 at the close. Ecopetrol SA (CN:ECO) added 1.23% or 20.0 points to end at 1645.0 and Grupo Inversiones Suramericana (CN:SIS) was up 0.77% or 280.0 points to 36600.0 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Cemex Latam Holdings SA (CN:CLH), which lost 3.19% or 400.0 points to trade at 12120.0 in late trade. Avianca Holdings Pf (CN:AVT_p) declined 1.99% or 65.0 points to end at 3195.0 and Grupo Nutresa SA (CN:NCH) shed 1.68% or 380.0 points to 22300.0.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 19 to 10 on the Colombia Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, US coffee C for July delivery was down 1.57% or 2.02 to $126.60 . Meanwhile, US cocoa for delivery in September fell 0.36% or 11.50 to hit $3210.50 , while the August Gold contract rose 0.39% or 4.60 to trade at $1185.50 a troy ounce.
USD/COP was up 0.47% to 2552.50, while BRL/COP rose 1.52% to 834.45.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.82% at 94.44.
