On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD98.70 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.47%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD98.70 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD97.00 and resistance at USD99.44.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.32% to trade at USD80.39.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery fell 0.20% to trade at USD105.64 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD6.94 a barrel.
