On the New York Mercantile Exchange, Crude oil futures for May delivery traded at USD98.54 a barrel at time of writing falling 0.34%.
Earlier, it traded at a session low USD98.39 a barrel. Crude oil was likely to find support at USD97.00 and resistance at USD99.25.
US Dollar Index, which tracks the performance of the greenback versus a basket of six other major currencies, rose 0.00% to trade at USD79.52.
Elsewhere on the ICE, Brent oil for May delivery rose 0.10% to trade at USD106.74 a barrel, with the spread between the Brent oil and Crude oil contracts stood at USD8.2 a barrel.
