The company also engages in the provision of business communication services; data transmission services; the sale and rental of communication equipment; telecommunications; and the sale and lease of networks. In addition, it provides multimedia services, such as the development, installation, maintenance, marketing, and operation of satellite television services; broadband; channel paid services; video on demand; and interactive or multimedia television services. Further, the company offers logistics, personnel, and administration services. Additionally, it provides broadcast live and play services, as well as other related services in the fields of connectivity, cloud, security, big data, IoT, and digital workplace. The company was formerly known as Compañía de Telecomunicaciones de Chile S.A. and changed its name to Telefónica Chile S.A. in April 2009. Telefónica Chile S.A. was founded in 1880 and is based in Santiago, Chile. Telefónica Chile S.A. operates as a subsidiary of Telefonica Moviles Chile S.A.
