Tired of such news. They tried with Armenian rebels in 1915, tried with ASALA in 1970's, tried with PKK in 1980's, tried with FETO afterwards. Trying with the Lira now. Give it up guys. Istanbul will not become Constantinople again. US and EU are collapsing morally, ethically and democratically. The more your capitalist system is collapsing, the more you are attacking others. It's not about the Lira or Dollars anymore. Your days are coming to an end. Give it up and accept it. Armenian genocide. Go back and read what really happened in 1915. Biden is just another puppet of a US president. He recognizes the "genocide". What a joke. Laughing out loudly.

Hide behind the other is not a solution and like all other country, Turkey have to be in peace with the past. But as I said this is not the major problem. Turkey doesn't show any stability in his politics nor in his economy management. Enişte was the worst ever but AKP don't want to fight with Erdoğan family and still defend his program... Made by a guy who resigned by Instagram. Until 2023, without major and deep change in the game, TL will fall again and again sometime go up by selling bank reserve or by people selling their gold. At the end turkey will be in debt and people too (in 2000 only state was in deep debt) until then, let's short selling. Keep TL, let me have the added value and everyone will be happy. In 2023 if ottoman empire come back, buy house with pocket fund.

Long. Fair value is 4.50. If the current government fails to fix the economy until 2023, they won't be reelected, Erdogan and AK party will become history. Whoever comes next will and must manage the economy better and we will see major improvements. Therefore I believe, it will be 4.50 before the end of 2025. Either current government fixes it, if not, someone else will do because it's not the problem of Turkey. Turkey won't fail but governments fail. Even a new party and president in 2023 may give the Lira a powerful boost.

Yes, no logical moves because there are 3 factors affecting this rate: economical, political and feto. Feto is still very active and should not be underestimated. Basically, feto is US. US used the weakness in leadership in the Middle east to intervene militarily. And they are using the weakness of Turkey's economy to intervene. Don't be blinded with economic reasons only. There's a massive economic attack by Feto (US) since the failed coup attempt.

It is expected of Sahap Kavcioglu to decrease interest rates, and Turkey has gone in to partial lockdown, so it is possible they will decrease interest rates. However, I do not rule out that he will keep the interest rates the same. The lira will lose some value either way, albeit pretty little, but unlocking will be slow as Turkey is the world leader for Covid rates population wise.

Market is waiting for next week's CBRT decision. The new guy will most likely reduce the rates to please his boss. If not, people will still be suspicious that he eventually will reduce in the next meeting. After rate cut, TRY will depreciate. How much and will this be sustainable needs to be seen. Also if Erdogan has a Plan B or not. Firing the governor created an unnecessary confusion and it needs to be seen what are they going to do in the upcoming months. Destroying trust happens overnight, to restore it may take years. People are confused as they can't foresee what will happen tomorrow. That's why this sideway action.

I here and always defend the same thing: Usd/try will be 8.5 soon. If it reaches 8.6, sky is the limit! 9, 9,5, 10 are all or more possible! I can make new guesses as to reactions in the market. However I will also watch government interventions. Finally lira is like bitcoin nowadays. Sometimes drops but ultimately goes upper and upper. Take care of your investment and open your eyes to troll users!

I don't know about lira. But BTC will not go up and up. It has zero intrinsic value and purely a speculative commodity manipulated by a few big whales, who will eventually dump all their coins at more or less the same time and leave everyone else as bag holders.

Brownie HK Turkish economy is a bigger balloon. Bitcoin gives more trustworthy than Turkish lira. Every data in Turkish economy is a lie, fake! They say unemployment is %11 but it is %30! Real Inflation rate is about %35 but they say %16! Anyway, its effects will be seen by everyone soon.
