Investing.com – Israel equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Communication and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Tel Aviv, the TA 25 fell 0.42%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the TA 25 were Leumi (TA:LUMI), which rose 1.22% or 16 points to trade at 1326 at the close. Frutarom (TA:FRUT) added 1.00% or 200 points to end at 20110 and Teva (TA:TEVA) was up 0.67% or 150 points to 22640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Avner L (TA:AVNRp), which lost 4.67% or 10.4 points to trade at 212.1 in late trade. Delek Group (TA:DLEKG) declined 4.26% or 2800 points to end at 63000 and Delek Drilling LP (TA:DEDRp) shed 4.05% or 45 points to 1065.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 175 to 157 and 121 ended unchanged on the Tel Aviv Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for April delivery was down 4.49% or 1.50 to $31.89 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in April fell 3.86% or 1.34 to hit $33.35 a barrel, while the April Gold contract rose 1.29% or 15.60 to trade at $1225.70 a troy ounce.
USD/ILS was up 0.02% to 3.9087, while EUR/ILS fell 0.02% to 4.3094.
The US Dollar Index was down 0.02% at 97.36.
