Investing.com – United Arab Emirates equities were higher at the close on Sunday, as gains in the Services, Telecoms and Real Estate & Construction sectors propelled shares higher.

At the close in Dubai, the DFM General added 1.22% to hit a new 3-month high, while the ADX General index climbed 0.17%.

The biggest gainers of the session on the DFM General were National Central Cooling Co. (DU:TABR), which rose 3.92% or 0.060 points to trade at 1.590 at the close. Gulf Navigation Holding PJSC (DU:GNAV) added 3.85% or 0.040 points to end at 1.080 and Emaar Properties PJSC (DU:EMAR) was up 3.53% or 0.250 points to 7.340 in late trade.

Biggest losers included Marka Pjse (DU:MARKA), which lost 3.48% or 0.04 points to trade at 1.11 in late trade. Air Arabia PJSC (DU:AIRA) declined 2.74% or 0.040 points to end at 1.420 and Drake & Scull International PJSC (DU:DSI) shed 1.46% or 0.008 points to 0.540.

The top performers on the ADX General were Arkan Building Materials Co PJSC (AD:ARKN) which rose 4.94% to 0.8500, Aldar Properti (AD:ALDR) which was up 2.16% to settle at 2.840 and Ad Commercial (AD:ADCB) which gained 1.18% to close at 6.87.

The worst performers were National Marine Dredging PSC (AD:NMDC) which was down 4.12% to 4.420 in late trade, Int Fish Farmi (AD:ASMK) which lost 2.52% to settle at 1.55 and Methaq (AD:METH) which was down 2.17% to 0.900 at the close.

Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 13 to 13 and 4 ended unchanged; on the Abu Dhabi, 7 fell and 5 advanced, while 10 ended unchanged on the Dubai Stock Exchange.

In commodities trading, Crude oil for September delivery was up 2.83% or 1.23 to $44.72 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in October rose 2.50% or 1.15 to hit $47.19 a barrel, while the December Gold contract fell 0.61% or 8.20 to trade at $1341.80 a troy ounce.

USD/AED was down 0.00% to 3.6730, while EUR/AED rose 0.21% to 4.1009.

The US Dollar Index was down 0.23% at 95.68.
