Investing.com – Sweden equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Oil & Gas, Financials and Basic Materials sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Stockholm, the OMX Stockholm 30 declined 0.40%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the OMX Stockholm 30 were Swedish Match AB (ST:SWMA), which rose 2.14% or 5.9 points to trade at 281.9 at the close. Securitas AB ser. B (ST:SECUb) added 2.06% or 2.50 points to end at 123.90 and AstraZeneca PLC (ST:AZN) was up 2.01% or 11.0 points to 559.5 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Lundin Petroleum AB (ST:LUPE), which lost 3.36% or 4.30 points to trade at 123.60 in late trade. Electrolux, AB ser. B (ST:ELUXb) declined 3.13% or 7.6 points to end at 235.5 and SSAB AB ser. A (ST:SSABa) shed 3.08% or 1.01 points to 31.81.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 282 to 273 and 9 ended unchanged on the Stockholm Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Crude oil for December delivery was down 0.86% or 0.40 to $45.92 a barrel. Meanwhile, Brent oil for delivery in December fell 0.17% or 0.09 to hit $48.49 a barrel, while the December Gold contract rose 0.07% or 0.80 to trade at $1107.00 a troy ounce.
EUR/SEK was up 0.27% to 9.3995, while USD/SEK rose 0.24% to 8.6471.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.13% at 98.12.
