Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Leasing & Factoring and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 2.86%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV), which rose 2.84% or 1.36 points to trade at 49.26 at the close. BIM Birlesik Magazalar AS (IS:BIMAS) added 1.65% or 9.00 points to end at 554.00 and Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY) was up 0.41% or 0.80 points to 196.10 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which lost 8.90% or 5.80 points to trade at 59.40 in late trade. Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KCAER) declined 7.18% or 4.00 points to end at 51.70 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) shed 6.76% or 542.50 points to 7,480.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 496 to 66 and 6 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 0.09% or 2.00 to $2,337.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 1.59% or 1.30 to hit $82.84 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 1.47% or 1.25 to trade at $86.25 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 32.69, while EUR/TRY fell 0.02% to 35.09.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.08% at 105.63.
