Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Insurance, Leasing & Factoring and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 1.45%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR), which rose 9.96% or 5.35 points to trade at 59.05 at the close. Limak Dogu Anadolu Cimento Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:LMKDC) added 7.00% or 1.70 points to end at 25.98 and Smart Gunes Enerjisi Teknolojileri Arastirma Gelistirme Uretim Sanayi ve Ticaret (IS:SMRTG) was up 5.27% or 2.70 points to 53.95 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG), which lost 5.83% or 3.70 points to trade at 59.80 in late trade. Akfen Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:AKFGY) declined 5.12% or 0.13 points to end at 2.41 and Konya Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:KONYA) shed 5.05% or 420.00 points to 7,900.00.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 429 to 133 and 9 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 8.00 to $2,419.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in September fell 1.79% or 1.38 to hit $75.78 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract fell 1.63% or 1.31 to trade at $78.97 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.39% to 33.03, while EUR/TRY fell 0.14% to 35.78.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.27% at 104.34.
