Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Banking and Textile & Leather sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 1.37%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which rose 3.58% or 2.05 points to trade at 59.35 at the close. Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS:ENJSA) added 3.28% or 1.85 points to end at 58.25 and Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM) was up 2.76% or 3.70 points to 138.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which lost 8.10% or 3.24 points to trade at 36.74 in late trade. Kontrolmatik Teknoloji Enerji ve Mu (IS:KONTR) declined 6.14% or 12.30 points to end at 188.00 and Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) shed 5.65% or 4.35 points to 72.70.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 437 to 124 and 9 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was down 2.73% or 65.25 to $2,325.65 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July fell 0.11% or 0.08 to hit $75.47 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract fell 0.31% or 0.25 to trade at $79.62 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.41% to 32.36, while EUR/TRY fell 0.56% to 35.01.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.75% at 104.84.
