Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Sports, Telecoms and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.85%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Otokar Otomotiv ve Savunma Sanayi AS (IS:OTKAR), which rose 10.00% or 42.00 points to trade at 462.00 at the close. Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) added 9.95% or 14.70 points to end at 162.50 and Adel Kalemcilik Ticaret ve Sanayi AS (IS:ADEL) was up 6.53% or 2.22 points to 36.22 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM), which lost 6.05% or 2.82 points to trade at 43.78 in late trade. Besiktas Futbol Yatirimlari Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BJKAS) declined 4.96% or 0.28 points to end at 5.36 and Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) shed 4.95% or 2.95 points to 56.60.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 306 to 251 and 20 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.06% or 1.65 to $2,666.15 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 2.97% or 2.21 to hit $76.59 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 2.81% or 2.19 to trade at $80.24 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.07% to 34.27, while EUR/TRY fell 0.05% to 37.62.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.04% at 102.23.
