Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Leasing & Factoring, Basic Metals and Food & Beverages sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.77%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT), which rose 6.84% or 0.960 points to trade at 15.000 at the close. Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) added 6.18% or 0.35 points to end at 6.01 and Ford Otomotiv Sanayi AS (IS:FROTO) was up 4.46% or 2.90 points to 67.90 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Anadolu Efes Biracilik ve Malt Sanayi AS (IS:AEFES), which lost 4.68% or 1.08 points to trade at 21.98 in late trade. Eregli Demir ve Celik Fabrikalari TAS (IS:EREGL) declined 3.57% or 0.430 points to end at 11.630 and Migros Ticaret AS (IS:MGROS) shed 3.01% or 0.41 points to 13.21.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 200 to 140 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.78% or 9.40 to $1197.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.46% or 0.32 to hit $70.12 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 0.36% or 0.28 to trade at $78.43 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.69% to 6.6799, while EUR/TRY rose 0.26% to 7.7336.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.42% at 95.47.
