Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Sports, Telecoms and Transport sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.69%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK), which rose 9.98% or 5.20 points to trade at 57.30 at the close. Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) added 9.16% or 13.50 points to end at 160.90 and Alfa Solar Enerji AS (IS:ALFAS) was up 5.69% or 4.15 points to 77.05 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN), which lost 4.85% or 1.88 points to trade at 36.86 in late trade. Enerjisa Enerji AS (IS:ENJSA) declined 3.09% or 1.80 points to end at 56.40 and Turk Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:TTKOM) shed 3.03% or 1.50 points to 48.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 311 to 232 and 28 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.77% or 18.20 to $2,393.70 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in July rose 1.82% or 1.35 to hit $75.42 a barrel, while the August Brent oil contract rose 1.67% or 1.31 to trade at $79.72 a barrel.
USD/TRY was unchanged 0.01% to 32.23, while EUR/TRY rose 0.24% to 35.18.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 104.20.
