Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Tourism, Food & Beverages and Non-Metal Mineral Products sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.46%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Tumosan Motor ve Traktor Sanayi AS (IS:TMSN), which rose 5.11% or 0.360 points to trade at 7.410 at the close. Hurriyet Gazetecilik ve Matbaacilik AS (IS:HURGZ) added 3.70% or 0.040 points to end at 1.120 and Alcatel Lucent Teletas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:ALCTL) was up 2.93% or 0.220 points to 7.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yazicilar Holding AS (IS:YAZIC), which lost 5.43% or 1.16 points to trade at 20.22 in late trade. Park Elektrik Uretim Madencilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:PRKME) declined 4.85% or 0.190 points to end at 3.730 and SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA) shed 4.23% or 0.300 points to 6.800.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 184 to 153 and 65 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.33% or 4.26 to $1287.94 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 1.17% or 0.68 to hit $58.70 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract rose 0.09% or 0.06 to trade at $63.61 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.38% to 3.9345, while EUR/TRY rose 1.03% to 4.6975.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.43% at 92.64.
