Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Transport and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.26%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Brisa Bridgestone Sabanci Lastik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRISA), which rose 7.52% or 0.46 points to trade at 6.58 at the close. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) added 5.78% or 0.100 points to end at 1.830 and ODAS Elektrik Uretim Sanayi Ticaret AS (IS:ODAS) was up 3.33% or 0.120 points to 3.720 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK), which lost 4.35% or 0.080 points to trade at 1.760 in late trade. Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) declined 3.21% or 0.060 points to end at 1.810 and Turkiye Is Bankasi AS Class C (IS:ISCTR) shed 3.04% or 0.130 points to 4.150.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 228 to 124 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.12% or 1.50 to $1205.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 0.12% or 0.09 to hit $72.17 a barrel, while the December Brent oil contract rose 0.92% or 0.74 to trade at $81.27 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.25% to 6.1672, while EUR/TRY rose 0.39% to 7.2628.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.14% at 93.72.
