Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Transport, Services and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.20%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Celebi Hava Servisi AS (IS:CLEBI), which rose 6.06% or 1.92 points to trade at 33.62 at the close. Metro Ticari ve Mali Yatirimlar Holding AS (IS:METRO) added 5.94% or 0.060 points to end at 1.070 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 5.94% or 0.260 points to 4.640 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turk Hava Yollari AO (IS:THYAO), which lost 8.17% or 1.530 points to trade at 17.200 in late trade. Kiler Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:KLGYO) declined 4.53% or 0.180 points to end at 3.790 and Anel Elektrik Proje Taahhut ve Ticaret AS (IS:ANELE) shed 4.16% or 0.160 points to 3.690.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 211 to 145 and 53 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for April delivery was up 1.48% or 19.50 to $1339.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in April fell 0.06% or 0.04 to hit $62.53 a barrel, while the May Brent oil contract rose 0.14% or 0.09 to trade at $65.63 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.42% to 3.7922, while EUR/TRY rose 0.24% to 4.7108.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.53% at 89.48.
