Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Friday, as losses in the Insurance, Information Technology and Tourism sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 lost 0.19%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Bosch Fren Sistemleri Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:BFREN), which rose 9.98% or 82.50 points to trade at 909.50 at the close. Kaleseramik Canakkale Kalebodur Seramik Sanayi AS (IS:KLSER) added 9.97% or 4.10 points to end at 45.22 and Teknosa Ic ve Dis Ticaret AS (IS:TKNSA) was up 5.91% or 1.84 points to 33.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Turkiye Sigorta AS (IS:TURSG), which lost 5.27% or 3.95 points to trade at 71.05 in late trade. Tofas Turk Otomobil Fabrikasi AS (IS:TOASO) declined 4.71% or 16.50 points to end at 334.00 and Yapi ve Kredi Bankasi AS (IS:YKBNK) shed 3.32% or 1.14 points to 33.22.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 279 to 274 and 19 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 1.07% or 25.35 to $2,394.75 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.54% or 0.45 to hit $84.33 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.37% or 0.32 to trade at $87.75 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.51% to 32.68, while EUR/TRY rose 0.29% to 35.43.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.45% at 104.61.
