Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Monday, as losses in the Textile & Leather, Wood, Paper & Printing and Sports sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK), which rose 9.96% or 18.30 points to trade at 202.10 at the close. Mia Teknoloji AS (IS:MIATK) added 7.90% or 4.90 points to end at 66.90 and Is Yatirim Menkul Degerler AS (IS:ISMEN) was up 7.56% or 2.72 points to 38.68 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR), which lost 6.85% or 2.74 points to trade at 37.28 in late trade. Bien Yapi Urunleri Sanayi Turizm ve Ticaret AS (IS:BIENY) declined 6.43% or 2.34 points to end at 34.04 and Sdt Uzay ve Savunma Teknolojileri AS (IS:SDTTR) shed 6.11% or 16.50 points to 253.50.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 402 to 159 and 11 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for August delivery was up 0.46% or 10.70 to $2,341.90 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in August rose 0.89% or 0.72 to hit $81.45 a barrel, while the September Brent oil contract rose 0.79% or 0.67 to trade at $85.00 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.19% to 32.90, while EUR/TRY rose 0.67% to 35.33.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.26% at 105.17.
