Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Thursday, as losses in the Holdings & Investments, Metal Products & Machinery and Basic Metals sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 declined 0.03%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE), which rose 7.60% or 0.190 points to trade at 2.690 at the close. Mavi Giyim Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:MAVI) added 6.42% or 1.64 points to end at 27.20 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 5.08% or 0.260 points to 5.380 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Soda Sanayi AS (IS:SODA), which lost 4.01% or 0.310 points to trade at 7.420 in late trade. Tekfen Holding AS (IS:TKFEN) declined 3.56% or 0.73 points to end at 19.79 and Bizim Toptan Satis Magazalari AS (IS:BIZIM) shed 3.33% or 0.20 points to 5.80.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 190 to 147 and 70 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.26% or 3.10 to $1204.40 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October fell 2.02% or 1.39 to hit $67.33 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract fell 1.57% or 1.21 to trade at $76.06 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.16% to 6.5907, while EUR/TRY fell 0.12% to 7.6723.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.02% at 95.05.
