Investing.com – Turkey equities were lower at the close on Tuesday, as losses in the Wood, Paper & Printing, Metal Products & Machinery and Technology sectors propelled shares lower.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 fell 0.02%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA), which rose 18.37% or 1.040 points to trade at 6.700 at the close. Ipek Dogal Enerji Kaynaklari Arastirma ve Uretim AS (IS:IPEKE) added 15.26% or 0.650 points to end at 4.910 and Banvit Bandirma Vitaminli Yem Sanayi AS (IS:BANVT) was up 8.48% or 1.680 points to 21.500 in late trade.
Biggest losers included CarrefourSA Carrefour Sabanci Ticaret Merkezi AS (IS:CRFSA), which lost 13.58% or 1.10 points to trade at 7.00 in late trade. Ihlas Holding AS (IS:IHLAS) declined 4.17% or 0.030 points to end at 0.690 and Kartonsan Karton Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KARTN) shed 3.36% or 10.50 points to 302.20.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 224 to 145 and 38 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.32% or 4.17 to $1292.53 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.42% or 0.20 to hit $47.73 a barrel, while the October Brent oil contract rose 0.27% or 0.14 to trade at $51.80 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.05% to 3.4942, while EUR/TRY fell 0.46% to 4.1114.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.40% at 93.37.
