Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Technology, Information Technology and Transport sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 0.09%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Vestel Beyaz Esya (IS:VESBE), which rose 10.16% or 1.250 points to trade at 13.550 at the close. Adel Kalemcilik (IS:ADEL) added 7.75% or 4.65 points to end at 64.65 and Netas Telekomunikasyon AS (IS:NETAS) was up 6.95% or 0.62 points to 9.54 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eczacibasi Yatirim (IS:ECZYT), which lost 7.42% or 0.85 points to trade at 10.60 in late trade. Gozde Girisim (IS:GOZDE) declined 5.25% or 0.160 points to end at 2.890 and Metro Holding (IS:METRO) shed 5.00% or 0.050 points to 0.950.
Declining stocks outnumbered rising ones by 234 to 165 and 14 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold for June delivery was up 1.35% or 15.80 to $1190.30 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June fell 0.68% or 0.40 to hit $58.75 a barrel, while the June Brent oil contract fell 0.23% or 0.15 to trade at $66.31 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.16% to 2.7121, while EUR/TRY fell 0.25% to 3.0234.
The US Dollar Index was up 0.28% at 95.64.
