Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Banking, Financials and Wholesale & Retail Trade sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 2.82%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Borusan Birlesik Boru Fabrikalari Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:BRSAN), which rose 9.97% or 37.75 points to trade at 416.25 at the close. Borusan Yatirim ve Pazarlama AS (IS:BRYAT) added 9.97% or 182.00 points to end at 2,007.00 and Coca-Cola Icecek AS (IS:CCOLA) was up 7.06% or 4.30 points to 65.20 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Eczacibasi Yatirim Holding Ortakligi AS (IS:ECZYT), which lost 2.31% or 4.90 points to trade at 206.90 in late trade. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:IZENR) declined 1.43% or 0.30 points to end at 20.64 and Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) shed 1.18% or 0.40 points to 33.52.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 462 to 102 and 12 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 0.23% or 5.85 to $2,533.45 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in October rose 0.16% or 0.12 to hit $73.67 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract unchanged 0.00% or 0.00 to trade at $76.93 a barrel.
USD/TRY was down 0.46% to 33.92, while EUR/TRY fell 0.18% to 37.58.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.01% at 101.61.
