Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Wholesale & Retail Trade, Services and Holdings & Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 1.89%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Enerya Enerji AS (IS:ENERY), which rose 10.00% or 20.20 points to trade at 222.20 at the close. Izdemir Enerji Elektrik Uretim AS (IS:IZENR) added 6.51% or 1.27 points to end at 20.78 and Girisim Elektrik Taahhut Ticaret & Sanayi AS (IS:GESAN) was up 5.22% or 2.22 points to 44.72 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Oba Makarnacilik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:OBAMS), which lost 9.35% or 3.32 points to trade at 32.18 in late trade. Kocaer Celik Sanayi ve Ticaret AS (IS:KCAER) declined 5.65% or 2.38 points to end at 39.72 and Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM) shed 5.46% or 12.30 points to 213.00.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 329 to 222 and 28 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was down 0.63% or 16.40 to $2,592.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in November rose 1.25% or 0.86 to hit $69.88 a barrel, while the November Brent oil contract rose 1.00% or 0.73 to trade at $73.48 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.37% to 34.10, while EUR/TRY rose 0.17% to 37.91.
The US Dollar Index Futures was up 0.17% at 100.61.
