Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Tuesday, as gains in the Real Estate Investments, Banking and Financials sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.51% to hit a new 1-month high.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Papilon Savunma Guvenlik Sistemleri (IS:PAPIL), which rose 9.94% or 1.43 points to trade at 15.81 at the close. Emlak Konut Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:EKGYO) added 9.94% or 1.23 points to end at 13.61 and Peker Gayrimenkul Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:PEKGY) was up 9.90% or 0.48 points to 5.33 in late trade.
Biggest losers included MLP Saglik Hizmetleri AS (IS:MPARK), which lost 3.92% or 16.00 points to trade at 392.00 in late trade. Fenerbahce Futbol AS (IS:FENER) declined 3.91% or 4.40 points to end at 108.10 and Yeo Teknoloji Enerji ve Endustri AS (IS:YEOTK) shed 2.62% or 1.40 points to 52.10.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 366 to 191 and 22 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for February delivery was up 0.11% or 2.89 to $2,661.39 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in January rose 2.17% or 1.48 to hit $69.58 a barrel, while the February Brent oil contract rose 2.03% or 1.46 to trade at $73.29 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.12% to 34.74, while EUR/TRY rose 0.25% to 36.52.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.06% at 106.36.
