Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Monday, as gains in the Basic Metals, Transport and Real Estate Investments sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 added 1.49%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were SASA Polyester Sanayi AS (IS:SASA), which rose 10.80% or 1.370 points to trade at 14.050 at the close. Koza Anadolu Metal Madencilik Isletmeleri AS (IS:KOZAA) added 8.28% or 0.480 points to end at 6.280 and ICBC Turkey Bank AS (IS:ICBCT) was up 7.68% or 0.460 points to 6.450 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Galatasaray Sportif Sinai ve Ticari Yatirimlar AS (IS:GSRAY), which lost 8.20% or 0.20 points to trade at 2.24 in late trade. Gozde Girisim Sermayesi Yatirim Ortakligi AS (IS:GOZDE) declined 3.90% or 0.150 points to end at 3.700 and Ulker Biskuvi Sanayi AS (IS:ULKER) shed 1.65% or 0.34 points to 20.30.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 244 to 104 and 55 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for June delivery was down 0.09% or 1.20 to $1319.50 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in June rose 0.62% or 0.44 to hit $71.14 a barrel, while the July Brent oil contract rose 1.41% or 1.09 to trade at $78.21 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.10% to 4.3211, while EUR/TRY rose 0.48% to 5.1755.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.21% at 92.25.
