Investing.com – Turkey equities were higher at the close on Thursday, as gains in the Telecoms, Leasing & Factoring and Banking sectors propelled shares higher.
At the close in Istanbul, the BIST 100 rose 0.95%.
The biggest gainers of the session on the BIST 100 were Alarko Holding AS (IS:ALARK), which rose 7.12% or 6.15 points to trade at 92.50 at the close. Ege Endustri ve Ticaret AS (IS:EGEEN) added 5.02% or 552.50 points to end at 11,552.50 and Turkcell Iletisim Hizmetleri AS ORD (IS:TCELL) was up 4.58% or 3.90 points to 89.00 in late trade.
Biggest losers included Baticim Bati Anadolu Cimento Sanayi AS (IS:BTCIM), which lost 9.59% or 13.70 points to trade at 129.20 in late trade. Reeder Teknoloji Sanayi Ve Ticaret AS (IS:REEDR) declined 7.90% or 1.40 points to end at 16.33 and Katilimevim Tasarruf Finansman AS (IS:KTLEV) shed 4.97% or 2.95 points to 56.45.
Advancing stocks outnumbered falling ones by 288 to 262 and 30 ended unchanged on the Istanbul Stock Exchange.
In commodities trading, Gold Futures for December delivery was up 1.09% or 29.30 to $2,705.60 a troy ounce. Meanwhile, Crude oil for delivery in December fell 0.73% or 0.52 to hit $71.17 a barrel, while the January Brent oil contract fell 0.67% or 0.50 to trade at $74.42 a barrel.
USD/TRY was up 0.21% to 34.26, while EUR/TRY rose 0.90% to 37.06.
The US Dollar Index Futures was down 0.82% at 104.12.
